The Brain Injury Association of Waterloo-Wellington (BIAWW) is a registered not-for-profit charity that works to provide support, advocacy, and programs to
acquired brain injury (ABI) survivors and educational programs to children and youth in the communities of Waterloo Region and Wellington County.
Did you know that there are close to half a million Ontarians currently living with ABI's and that 18,000 new cases are added to that number every year? This amounts to 50 people injured with an acquired brain injury every day in Ontario. Because the brain is the centre of the nervous system, and the most complex organ, when it gets injured it completely changes a person’s life and their relationships with family and friends.
